Who are we?
We are a family owned and family ran business. We are a family of 5 ladies who have been sewing since we were knee high. We started out 18 years ago making our own prom and formal dresses because we couldn't afford the astronomical prices in the department stores and malls. Needless to say our gowns rivaled the detailing of the high end dresses. Our hand beading set our gowns high above the retail gowns. Soon close friends and family commissioned us to make gowns for them. The word quickly spread about our high quality work and deep discounted pricing. We have been selling on-line solely since 2002.
Where are we?
We are located in Tennessee. We do not have a physical retail location. By remaining on-line we can do what we love, which is making bridal gowns and you get what you love, high quality designer inspired wedding gowns at the prices you can afford. Our gowns are for sale on-line only. Remaining as an on-line bridal boutique we can keep out overhead cost low and keep passing phenomenal savings to our brides!
How can your dresses be so “cheap?”
We prefer the term economical, but we are often asked “How can you sale your gowns so cheap?” We could charge $1,000s of dollars for custom wedding gowns but that would defeat our purpose. There is a huge mark up in the price of bridal gowns and we choose not to exploit our customers. We can make high quality gowns using some of the finest fabrics and still make a profit.
Materials
We use only fine fabrics for bridal wear. Our gowns are composed of bridal satin, chiffon, tulle, and taffeta. We do not use silk(s). If you would like fabric swatches you can purchase those on our Services Offered page.
Lace Gowns: We make every attempt to match the lace to the gowns our brides choose. But, it's not always possible. So please be aware that the lace on designer gown may be too costly or not available to us. So, while your gown will look the same the lace may not be the same.
How long will it take to complete my gown?
It takes 14 to 15 weeks to complete a wedding gown from the date we receive your measurement form. During Bridal Christmas which is December through June of each year it can take us as long as 15 to 18 weeks to complete your wedding gown. We do have a "Rush" fee available. The fee is totally dependent upon the gown you choose and the date you need it. Please inquire if you feel this service fits your situation.
Photos
Any photos submitted to Gioavonni's by brides wearing designer wedding gowns for our replication becomes our property and occasionally we may use pictures submitted to us for inspiration or clarification for future brides.
How much does your wedding gowns cost?
Our gowns are usually priced between $250 and $700. We do have clearance gowns for as little as $100.
I don’t want to pay for a dress before I get it.
Most bridal salons require 1/2 the payment or the full payment before they will order your gown and they stress that there will be no refunds. What they have done is purchased the gown from the designer and whether you complete the purchase or cancel the wedding they are not out of any money because the gown is paid for! They actually make more money if you cancel your wedding or do not complete the purchase because they will put it on the sales floor and sale it for the full retail price all over again, thus the 1/2 down they have received from you is added on to their profit margin! (EX: Designer Gown cost $5,000 retail. It only cost the bridal salon $2,500 to buy it from the designer which is what they charge the bride as a down payment. When they bride comes in to pick it up they charge her the balance of $2,500 which is pure profit for the bridal salon. This is before they charge you another $200 to $1,000 in alterations) We do not purchase materials or begin work on your gown until your purchase is complete. The only way to explain this to brides is to have them look at our business like every other internet business. We require payment in full before we begin work on your custom wedding gown, because if we made a gown and shipped it and then waited for payment we would loose a lot of money and simply put, we can’t afford to do that.
I don’t know about googlepay?
Googlepay is a secure payment service just like paypal except googlepay is not owned by EBay. We never see your credit card information.
I’m worried about the fit of the gown. What if I don’t like it when I receive it?
We strongly encourage brides to have their measurements taken professionally or have a good friend measure you two or three times until she gets the same measurements twice.
We also encourage you to go and try on gowns in those similar styles that you are interested in. This will tell you if your dream gown will look good on you.
Wedding Gown Return Policy
We are so confident that you will adore your wedding dress that we are offering a money-back guarantee on all of our gowns. This is unheard of amongst bridal retailers and plain insane in the couture world. So why are we offering this? Because we know that you will love your gown. If not, return it to us for a full refund (less a 20% re-stocking/material fee.) Special order gowns are not eligible for our return. if you change the color, the cut, the neckline, the sleeve length or order anything other than what is pictured on the site). You must inform us of your intention to return your gown within three days of receiving it. This is calculated from the time of receipt as captured by the carrier, e.g FedEx. The gown must arrive in the condition it was sent and in the original packaging. You are responsible for the return shipping fees and insurance.
Before returning your gown, e-mail us at gioavonnisbridalboutique@yahoo.com and put "return" in the memo line. We will then provide you with a return authorization number (RA#). Clearly print the RA# on the outside of the package. We are unable to process returns/exchanges without such a return code. Package the gown in all original packaging. For your security please return item(s) with an insured courier and retain your shipping receipt. After you have shipped the gown you must email us with the tracking and insurance information. If you do not provide us with tracking and insurance information the package will be refused. We are not responsible for returned items lost or damaged in transit.
If your gown is damaged during shipping to you, it is fully insured. (If you choose to pay for insurance) Please contact us in this unlikely eventuality. We will rush you a replacement gown and you will not pay any duplicate shipping fees. If your weight has changed since you took your measurements and your gown no longer fits, it is your responsibility to have the gown altered. We build in one-inch seam allowances to facilitate this process. When taking your measurements always round up instead of down. It is easier to take the gown in than to let it out. If your weight tends to fluctuate by more than 5lbs in either direction (10 lbs total range), in short periods of time we recommend that you opt for a corset (lace-up) gown since they are surprisingly forgiving in terms of fit.
Chargebacks
Chargebacks cost reputable businesses thousands of dollars every year. All Chargebacks will be turned over to a collections agency. We report to all three credit bureaus. Fraudjently returning a wedding gown that is non-refundable is not worth higher interest rates and denied credit for seven years.
Gioavonni's Bridal Boutique does not tolerate credit card fraud of any kind. No expense will be spared and all fraud without exception, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. (See fradulent customers names, email addresses, phone numbers and the amount they stole from our family below) If you place a chargeback with your credit card company (by mistake of on purpose) for any order that you placed and received, there will be a $75 research fee charged to your account upon receiving the chargeback by our merchant provider to cover our investigative expenses to prove that you did not make the purchase. In addition we will pursue civil legal actions to recover any loss of income related to the fraud including business, legal fees, research cost, employee down time and loss of revenues.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!!
If you do not remember making the purchase call the number on your statement next to the charge BEFORE calling your bank.
Fraudulent Charges
We log IP strings on all orders- any orders coming back as a chargeback due to fraudulent activity will be diligently pursued through your local jurisdiction for prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. If you have been a victim of credit card fraud please cancel your credit card and email us a copy of your police report.
As you see we take these matters seriously, and keep an attorney on retainer for matters such as these which is money well spent.
